Ex D-ALCH of Lufthansa Cargo sporting the Cargo Human Care special livery. It appears it will be heading to FedEx shortly! Great to see it properly lit up in the sunshine of Southern California after sitting in the middle of the yard at Victorville for some time.

The airframe is an original Jetstar I equipped with the smaller but much louder Pratt & Whitney JT12 turbojet engines. These engines are also used on types such as the Sabreliner and T-2 Buckeye. This particular aircraft was built in 1964 and had multiple owners through its life, including American entertainer Wayne Newton. The aircraft arrived to the museum in 2006.

The end is neigh for this beautiful old gal. This particular airframe, the 54th off the Grumman line, was delivered in November 1960 and was picked up by Phoenix Air in 2002. As G-1 parts have become more scarce, Phoenix Air has cannibalized this airframe to keep its other G-1s flying.
